hand held transceiver radio

hi all
its been ages and i hope all of you are well.ive ventured out into more outside hobbies so the first is geocaching and now im awaiting the dilivery of my hand held transceiver radio.so im going to start learning about ham radios,will bring my radio with me on the night fishing trips i love (lets face it a slow night fishing at 2am sitting on the beach can get kinda lonely) will also use in the radio when the wife isnt home to get annoyed with the chatter..although i do have the man cave to retreat into........

so anyone here who knows about ham radio..let me know

There is a great Kenwood that will even pick up CW channels, if you are into that sort of listening.

Just needs a long wire. I love mine for all those travel needs...as it gets everything and anything, as well as TXing on a few bands as well (although that is really an emergency only thing).,
