Default Would someone make a 250 Torque Tube conversion kit?

Love my T-Rex 250, but would prefer a torque tube, like in my 500 ESP.

Need lots of responses to show manufacturers there is a market for a conversion kit. C'mon guys, respond and be heard.

I don't know.....the 250 sits pretty low, especially in grass, and if my tail blades hit anything would it tend to strip the torque tube gear? Just a thought......

I would be on board for a torque tube. Mark me down for two.

Ill even take off and land on a small platform. I'd rather fly for 4 min without belt issues and work on precise landings.

Wouldn't be cheaper to just buy a Microheli Vortex 200?
Appears to be top notch quality, and don't we all need one more hei?

But sometimes, (or most times) people want parts from their LHS. Different strokes...

I'm surprised the response to this thread isn't more prolific.

I put Blade 400 landing gear on my 250 because of landing in grass, and trex500 gear on my blade 400 when I was flying that.sign me up for a tt setup.though I might actually sell my 250 for the vortex. My local hobby shop generally doesnt have the parts I need anyway. Not their fault,It takes lots of money to stock everything

Hmm, I suppose, but out here in the sticks that would mean that I would have to fly only Eflite, and that LHS is over 30 miles away. I like to fly pretty nice stuff including Align, and I know that I would get a "whats a Spartan?" from my LHS, lol. I order all my parts out of necessity, and I receive the parts from Helidirect usually within a few days, but enough about my "different strokes." I was only trying to give some different options, and didn't mean to hijack the thread, so lets get back to the fun.

It's all good.

The Vortex is the only option for a micro-sized TT heli; and it's a great option. I'm just as likely to get that as a second 250.

+1 for the Gaui. If you want a tt give that a shot. I have to say though, I'd be tempted to try a tt on the 250 if align came out with one.

I would totally go for a torque-tube upgrade for my 250s. Though the kevlar belt I've started using is very good. I'd say the danger of striking the tail and stripping the torque tube on landing are low if you got a good landing area.

I've been using a flat landing pad (rubber and carpet) and the tail blades on my 250s are good as new after many many flights -- no danger of stripping the torque tube gears even on a hard landing. Wasn't the case prior to this as my 250's tail blades would always strike little pebbles and such.

The belt on my 250 slips when it's cold.

No.... you have to separate the mainframe sides to replace the main gear.... huge strip down for a small job ... too much hassle!

ive been told tt's are kinda pointless even on 450 sized heli's...i would be surprised if align got around to it anytime soon...

Why would it be pointless? Works awesomely on my 500 ESP.

i guess because at that size the cost vs actual performance advantages over belts isn't really that great, i know a lot of people are choosing the 450 sport over the pro because like me, they didn't feel a tt wouldn't make much of a difference performance wise at our flight level, but the belt was MUCH cheaper than the pro's tt to maintain, obviously the numbers change if your a really good pilot and can land perfect every time, but i like to beat my 250se around, i can knock the landing gear off in flight and just keep flying, then pop a little auto into the grass, i don't know how well that would work with a tt, i dunno, it works just great for me as is, i don't really want to make my heli any more complicated...
