Default 6s 5300mah?

Hey guys, was considering getting an e5. Trying to decide what to keep from my crashed goblin for the e5. I have 12s packs, 5300 mah glaciers. Was thinking of splitting them into individual 6s packs. My question is would these even fit? And would they be too heavy for cg. Tried looking for battey compartment dimensions with no luck. Thanks in advance.

The inside dimension of the frames is 52mm. Not sure how tall you can go, as long as you stay under the main shaft lower bearing block.

Hope that helps.

No cg issue either as just slide them for or aft until you have the cg correct. As for height just over 60mm of height for the pack is available .

I have a couple of Haiyin 5000mAh 40C packs that are 52x56x145 and weigh 850g that I run in my E5. They're quite a bit larger than the Sky Lipo 5000mAh packs that I run in my E7. The reason I run them in my E5 is because I couldn't find any shrink tubing large enough to turn them into a stick pack so I kept them separate and use them as 6S packs.

It looks like the Glacier 5300mAh packs are smaller physically and they weigh less than the Haiyins, as well. I think they should work just fine for you.

I just measured the glaciers. Plenty of room with the width but 62mm tall. Don't think they will go. Guess I won't know for sure until I buy the heli and put her together. thanks again for your help.

Oops, I must have been looking at the wrong Glacier pack. I'll take a look at my E5 and the Haiyin packs tonight and see how much clearance I still have with those big packs in it.

If you had the pinion cut flush with the support bearing you will have about 68mm total height in there. I measured from my pinion which is a stock length Scorpion shaft and I have 62mm total with the shaft hanging down. So as long as you trim your motor shaft you should fit .

Well, there's your answer on how much room is there.

I have 2 Glacier 5300s I run in my e5. They fit fine, they just won't go under the bearing blocks. They go back far enough that I din't have balance issues with them. I prefer how the 5000s fit, but I haven't had any issues with my Glacier 5300s.
