I have seen this before. Try replacing all the blades. Some times the blades lose their pitch after awhile especially if the heli has just been sitting. You can't really see it until you compare old blades to new blades.

I would also try a new battery pack if the original has been stored for 2 years. Charge it will a good balancing charger, not the one that came with the kit.

Greetings! Please forgive the semi-hijack (doesn't everyone say that?! but at least I'm not 'way off topic)

I'd like a little more flesh on this bone please. What is deficient about the OE charger? And what would you recommend for a "good" charger? Why?

Many thanks!

The stock charger won't last and is just a basic, cheap charger. Mine quit after 2 months.

The thunder ac6 is the best according to others on the forums. You'll see this same charger with different brand names. The advantage is not only do they last much longer, but they have more features. It charges faster and balances the charge. You can also discharge them to the correct voltage for storage.

If you are serious about this hobby then it's worth the investment. You can charge several different size batteries. Your batteries will last longer.

I second the replace the blades.

it seems odd but it worked on the one i rebuilt that was heading for the landfill. even thouh they seemed undamaged. the heli would barely get off the ground replaced the blades it flies again.

worse case you have a set of spare blades if you crash.
