Gorilla Landing gear?
Have you ever broken a set of these?
Also do you think there any good. My mates seem quite floppy but he hasn't flown them yet |

They'll all break! Every manufactures. But I've got more $$$ in my MCPX landing gear breakage than I have in crash costs from a 450 pro in 2 years!

I have been tempted to try them, but Tarot skids are so cheep I just can't make myself pay that much for skids. Floppy? That makes me nervous.
Oh for your MCPX, maybe try some music wire. You can get it at many hardware stores. Just bent it and make both skids with one piece. Glue to the heli. I did that with a tiny Walkera once. Never broke, worst they will bend and you bend them back.

I have found that if it can break I am the one that will break it

They are fine on a light heli like a 450/500. Any gear can break eventually, but I have yet to break one even with all the crashes I have had

Running the same skids on my 400 and Protos 500 they take a beating! Hard landings the heli just springs back up. On the 400 the skids fit and look nice. Just had to cut some off the rear of the skid pipes, which are plastic. My avatar shows both helis with the skids

I've never broken a set, but in all honesty, if I crashed my heli hard enough to break the skids, the skids would be the last thing on my mind!

Sorry if this isn't the place to ask, but I've seen suggestions of using Gorilla Gear for a 500 on your 450, at least when getting started, to help raise it a bit off the ground, and give it a wider stance. I could see it also maybe helping to keep the tail blades from touching the ground as often (especially on the Pro I will be trying to fly at some point).
Any thoughts on doing that? I'd probably lean towards doing it on my nicer Pro, vs the Sport I'm starting with at the moment. Thanks.
