Default DX6i Settings for the SR?

I'm a newbie, so I am not going to attempt to run my new SR on my DX6i....but I know one of you FREAKS is going to hook me up.

If you have some DX6i programming worked out for the SR, I would like to see it.

I would be too interested. I tried the settings for a cp pro 2 well they dont work so please do not try them. Maybe I had a wrong setting but I dont think so, everything moved in the direction it was supposed to move. Well anyways I crashed big time. I was powering down and the blades had almost stopped and the SR took off like a rocked forward and into a wall. Blades maybe grips too, main gear, tail boom, boom motor, rotor all gone now. Also I called HH and the tech told me they are going to have a programming manual out this summer for the dx6 and dx7. Everyone have fun

Very intriguing news. It seems like it would be good timing for them to make another marketing push to novice SR owners to sell more DX61 and DX7s.

...(though I'm sure one of the experts here will have already posted some potential settings to work with in a few days, not a few months).

I started trying to make a model in my dx6i last night. I had problems getting collective to move correctly one servo was opposite the others altough its aileron control was correct. I finally sorted all the movements out by reversing pitch and running negative swash mix. I'm setting up for 0 degrees pitch at half stick but i'm still have problems getting it to lift where i want it to. I have to run way to much mechanical pos pitch to get it to lift correctly. Either way I still have to work on both my mechanical pitch and radio pitch curves curves until this thing flies closer to my 400. Once i get set I'll post my settings then if you want to soften them you can just do so with dr & expo. Anyone else having pitch issues similar to mine let me know. Only so much negative pitch is available before the swash plate is at maximum height.

Ok I bit the dust and had a Very Good heli pilot prgram my dx6i radio for me. Now it flies like a champ. Here are the settings he prgramed for me.

D/R Expo:
Aile 1 - 70% + 30% expo Aile 0 - 100% + 20% expo
Elev 1 - 70% + 30% expo Elev 0 - 100% + 20% expo
Rudd 1 - 80% + 30% expo Rudd 0 - 100% + 20% expo

Travel Adj - all set to 100%

Sub Trim - All set to 0

Throttle Curve:
Norm Pos -
L - 0%
2 - 45%
3 - 60%
4 - 75% H - 100%

Stunt Pos -
L - 100%
2 - 88.5%
3 - 75%
4 - 88.5%
H - 100%

Pitch Curve:
Norm -
L - 42%
2 - 46%
3 - 50%
4 - 75%
H - 100%

Stunt -
L - 0%
2 - 25%
3 - 50%
4 - 75%
H - 100%

Swash Mix :
Aile +60%
Elev +60%
Pitch -35%

Under the Setup List:

1) In the reverse menu Reverse the Rudd and Pitch settings
2) Under Swash Type - Select CCPM 120

I Started flying with these settings and love them. I did change the exp from 30% to 15% its just my preference seems to make it a little more reponsive. Let me know what you think! Have fun

Did you or your LHS adjust the blade pitch and swash linkage at all or did he just tune the tx for the stock setup? Those settings look pretty close to what I've come up with but the pitch curves won't work for me if your mid stick pitch is still 7 degrees in normal flight mode.

All adjustments were made on the radio. Nothing was done to the heli itself

Cedron

Thanks a million : ) How does these setting compare to the stock TX? IE, do you think the expo in stock TX about 30%? Forget low rate...it's like 90%!

Default Gyro Menu DX6i

Hello Cedron
Thank you for the DX6i Settings. You don`t use Gyro menu? When gyro set from transmitter 50% - 100%, it`s HH mode?
Thank you
Dieter

Mattia - You can try this for 3D. I don't do 3D so it is hard to say how it will do. It was programed though by someone that does do 3D. Hope that helps.

Daddy - The Settings are close to the stock in my opinion. I have already changed my expo to +15%. Just my preference

Dieter - I am really only hovering right now so I really do not see a need to use the gyro settings in the radio. By the way what part of Germany are you in? I lived in Mainz for 2 years. Dan

Thanks, I'll give mine a go at those settings. Good to hear you hooked up gyro to ch 5. I have my B400, same gyro, set at <50% and 65%. I find that when I first start up if I toggle 3 times (reset gyro) the tail holds much better on take off...don't know why, just that it works for me. Will try on SR when I get some time ( work : (

Channel 5 which is the second from the right when looking at it from behind (and it's the one that doesn't have anythig plugged into it.)

Don't plug it in on the open spot to the far left, this is for binding and BEC.

I gotcha. I knew it wasn't the BATT port, but couldn't recall what the port on the second from the right was.
