Default Metal servo frame question

I'm doing a rebuild and bought a metal servo frame (MSH51123).
Now I'm sitting here going hmmmmmmmm:
The package comes with 2 M2 hex screws and a M3x3 grub screw
The 2 hex screws are used to keep the bearing from coming out of the frame.
What is the grub screw for?

It was originally to hold the bearing in place in the metal frame, however I'm not sure that the latest servo frame has the necessary hole for it ...

The grub screw used to screw into the outer race. to hold the bearing. But thus deforms the outer race and not good. Use the flathead screws on the side of the mount

thanks - didn't end up using it as the other screws work fine
good to know, though - I hate having that one piece left over and wondering where it goes
