Default How would a HK 2.1 connects to a Hobbywing Skywalker Quattro 20A?

Hello guys. I wanted to know. I notice from esc only one wire connector to main controller is that enough to power up my hk 2.1 board? I have 4 esc feeding power to the board. Ty

One of the ESC's needs a BEC to power the KK board. Or you can get a uBEC to power the board.

One wire from the ESC is not enough. A ESC with a BEC should have 3 wires.

I just built a quad with the SkyWalker Quattro 20A Four-in-One. M3 is the BEC has 3 wires and powers the board just fine. I used a GT POWER S1 Multicopter Control Board but I would think it would be the same as HK 2.1

Well duh you have + and - plus signal wire. But I have 4 esc with built in bec it all shoot out power
to my board from every esc connector. And I was wondering if one connector that put out power is enough for my 2.1 board. But it seem yes. Because I want to upgrade my esc to this on my quad.

Either I am confused or you are

You first said the ESC's only have 1 wire coming from them.

Then you said all four are powering the board

Anyhow, I have used the Skywalker Quattro, and Florida Dave is correct. The S3 connector has the + & -, while the other 3 only have Signal wires. The KK only needs 5v from one connector, it does not matter which input sends 5v.

Ha thanks I corrected myself by editing so sorry. Well on my HK 2.1 i have 4 seperate esc with built in bec. The connector are 3 wires plus, minus and signal. There is 4 esc so all 4 connected to board so each esc powering the board. Now I wanted to know since this esc I want to buy would it power up the board just having one connector that power it up since the rest are signal except one connector has signal plus power? And it seem it will. I guess I have the answer.

The KK board only needs 5v from one ESC. The quattro will power it.

I dont understand your last question.

Some people get the Lazy 4. Meaning the 4th motor doesn't throttle up equally with other 3 at START UP. Usually calibration help well sometime. It's very common Lazy 4. One of the reason I want to upgrade to this esc. I'm using hk ss 18-20 esc.

Oh yes. I had that same problem with my original KK board, but never worried about it. As soon as the quad is airborne, it should remain stable. I heard its a issue with the code, and there is a "fixed" version of the firmware available.

The quattro ESC probably wont fix it.

Yes mine helped with. QuadControllerV4_7_X_1550_M168_tmc.hex I don't think there is a complete fix. It helps other but some others doesn't help. Well I have the 2.1 but the 4.7 went on higher frequency that slow esc don't support. But then I dunno. I still like this esc because it cleaner look no need distribution board or extra crappy wires.

Lazy 4, that's what I must be experiencing as my 4 motor doesn't start up with the other three right off but will eventually spin up to speed, still flys good/great. I am using the SQ25A4U (quattro). Should I recalibrate the esc?

That is something you should do at first when you connect especially programming the esc to be setup for NIXX instead of lipo. Stick centering suppose to help too. What board do you have? I still yet to use stick centering 4.7 firmware on my hk kk 2.1.
