Just to give you a follow up for the ones that could interested to buy a Quantum 4530-500kv for their Gaui X7.

The original shaft is too short, it reach only the top of the third bearing block.
The "Scorpion HKIII-4035 shaft kit - XL" is perfect and fit nicely.

I have had only to add a small flat with a dremel to be able to use the two set screw in the can. And another small flat for the second set screw of the pinion.

The shaft is out of the cage of about 2.5mm

Is a 160A ESC absolutely necessary for the X7 Formula? I will be running 693mm blades and a Pyro 700-52 motor. I already have a CC ICE2 120HV, but don't want to buy another ESC if I don't have to. Any advice?

It depends on your flying style.

How did you manage to fit the Pyro 750-50 into the X7 Formula? I thought the normal and L shaft was too short and the XL shaft was 8 mm in diameter.

I have used a about 2~3mm-washer under the counter bearing.
It does not look enough to support motor shaft, but there does not have a problem yet.

How's the 130A Scorpion ESC holding up? Is it enough? Also, does the motor get hot?
