Best esc/motor combo?

Hey guys like the title states what's the best esc motor combo for the 450x? Looking for reliability and power.

CC Edge 50 Lite/Eflite H450 or Scorpion 2221-8

+1 on the Eflite H450. Loads of power/torque. I'm using the stock ESC and have had zero problems with it.

I have the Scorpion combo in 1 of my heli's and a Viper 450 motor with YEP in the other. Best to me is the Scorpion however the lower costing Viper & YEP performs quite well.

Just a word of caution on the YEP 45A - mine won't recognize my batteries as 3S (it thinks they are 4S) unless I undercharge them (4.18V/cell).

Maybe check your setup via the progam card. Sounds like you have selected life instead of lipo.

Just got a used 450x with scorpion motor been trying to program the esc following the instruction and using another rx. Battery without any success. Would somebody help me

I am only using the D95i tail servo but it is definitely an excellent servo the best of the best.

Can I use the stock pinion from eflite 440? What pinion to get for h450?

+1 on this setup, mine is the same except I use the H450 motor. I don't see myself needing anything different on it, probably ever.

That is the correct motor. I can't help with the pinions, I run a lynx slant. FWIW, I think it is worth every penny of the additional $25 or so to get the lynx slant main gear and pinion while you do this upgrade. It will blow your mind how much more smooth and how much better the heli sounds. Not to mention how much more durable they are. Oh and with zero wobble like the stockers. It is just a WAY better part than the stocker. Now is the time. Pull the trigger! Only buy pinions once!

I going to stick to regular pinion as I only fly my 450 on the weekends and wish to save extra $ for spare parts. Can anyone share information on the pinion they used on Eflite H450? My 450 is grounded until new motor/pinion.
