If you ever get the chance, take a look at the back of Tim's heli. There's separate boom supports to keep the tail from snapping off lol. That and his engine has A LOT of work done to it to bring it up to where heli engines should be these days.

Sorry to be morbid, but does anyone have pictures of all the carnage

Folks asking me about it and I know I saw a bunch of phones out. I would have taken some myself but had an extinguisher in my arms

Thanks extended to all who put on this event. First class field and event. Plenty of great people, food and fun.

The goblin fire although spectacular was unfortunate. Total loss except the tail blades. The pilot did a great job landing the heli out of harms way. Imagine what would have happened if he landed in the corn field.

Default Montee and crew put together a great event

I want to thank everyone involved. A great time was had by all. "Under the lights" flying was super fun. I stood on the line with Tim only for a few minutes until I had to leave to go change my shorts.. I can sum up the whole night with one word CORN!

Glad nothing failed and you survived the suicide loops!

Great event, enjoyed it to the max. The drive home was LONG, left at 4pm didn't make it back until 2am...I think maybe even Tim Jones might have beat me home!!

Thanks for all the kind words!
Thank you to all who visited!
Lots of folks took the stern when illness took me off the field Saturday and to them I'm very thankful. The club truly supports its events.
We are already putting together a list of pilots we plan to invite or have invited for the Spring in 2015. We're a sick bunch planning events already.
One last word.............................

It sucks we couldnt make the fall event there. My work schedule just wouldnt allow it. And you guys are not a sick bunch. The earlier you plan for your events the better for me cause I can make plans to be off work. Let me know when you have the dates for the spring event and it will be on my calendar. See you guys in the spring.

It was a great time thanks all for putting it on! Night flying was awesome!

I enjoyed the drag racing, hope a few people will practice for next time so I don't have to go up against a gasser!

Next time I'll remember to actually use the right throttle curve for 2300rpm instead of 2000 LOL.

Default A gasser

Beating 4 out of 5 people, what an EMBARRASSMENT!

Yeah, I heard the loud cheers when finally someone (the last contestant) beat me

I thought it was great! Just goes to show you need to have technique. Lots of people complain they don't have enough power or their heli bogs, but you rarely have a head to head way to see if it's the heli or the nut on the sticks.
