ZYX-S2 collective moves but no response from cyclic movements

I have a strange problem.

I have a new ZYX-S2. I am using a DSMX2 Sat with a DX8 radio.

I have configured the ZYX with the software and the USB Programer.

When I give the unit power, I always get a flashing yellow light and it never moves on past this. I can move the collective up and down, but there is no cyclic response. If I connect the USB Programer while this is happening I immediately get cyclic response (elevator and aileron as well as collective).

I also am unable to get the rudder servo to work. It is Digital and meets the requirements.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Looks like it is not bound properly. I never could get bound correctly using zyx-s and sat alone. I eventually plugged the sat into a conventional receiver and bound it. Then plugged the sat into the zyx and all worked.
But I only have DX6i and DSM2 sat, so your procedure may differ.

Agree... sounds like the ZXY-S2 is not bound to the DSMX2 Satelite Receiver.

Many folks have had issues getting them bound, so it if doesn't work immediately, don't fret. It may take a few trys.

Thanks for the videos. They unfortunately don't help as I have a zyx-s2 which does not have the button on the side as mention in the first video

The second video is exactly what I did to get as far as I am.

I figured out the issue with the rudder channel. The zyx is interpreting my gyro switch as the the rudder channel.

I think it will be easiest to just get a better gyro or use a full receiver.

Just for clarification. Once I bound the receiver/sat combination, I just use the sat alone, I don't fly with the full receiver, just the satellite only. I only use the full receiver for binding the satellite.

Did you find the issue or move on?
I have exactly the same problem and it is not a binding issue. Tried several recievers and sats. DSM2 and DSMX. Using a DX8.

Found the issue. The gyro hates even minimal movement. Pluggin in the lipo veery carefully it boots up fine.

Hey I had this issue I resolved it by making plugging the S2 into my laptop and using the Setup Assistant

Go to the Servo tab in Setup

Make sure you have it set correctly - if this is wrong the cyclic wont respond

I have the standard DS410's on my swash so this is Digital 250GHZ

When you choose a setting the changes will be uploaded to the gyro almost immediately
