Default Stock RCE-BL70G ESC governor mode?

I am sending back my ICE 100 esc (loose heat sink) and putting the stock esc back on. How well does the stock RCE-BL70G ESC work using governor mode?

I tried mine in "G" mode and it held a constant speed very well, but I could never get the speed to be where / as high as I wanted it. I use throttle curves instead.

Align ESC's are known to have marginal governor modes.
Just run a shallow V, or flat, curve and I'm sure that will hold you over quite well.

i 've always wanted to ask that question. thanks!

but does that add extra workload to the ESC that it heats up more?

Short answer: Its crap. tested it on both the 70 and 100 amp align esc, and 1, the tail gets ticks(not a gyro+servo problem...)and it just doesnt hold the rpm's right.. at least not during soft 3d..
