Default Who's off the list ??

Well it's been a long time between drinks ! Speed records have progressed after just a few years from being within reach of the dedicated enthusiast to the realm of the factory sponsored pilots from the 'Big 3'

Has the momentum gone out of the speed movement ? How many on the waiting list now will fork out the ~$3k when it's time to pay up ?

I hope I'm wrong but I have a bad feeling that the impetus has gone out of the market and Jan will have a big marketing task to sell production !

Maybe the TDR might resurge as a great all-rounder and an all-time classic !

If it matters, I doubt I will ever fly speed in a competition and I don't think I ever thought that I would. That has never been part of the equation for me.

Just like I don't think I'll ever fly a 3D competition, but I still am working on my flying skills.

The whole market is imploding right now, but Jan may be one of the few with a unique enough helicopter to hold people's interest. There is nothing out there remotely like the TDR-2 and I think that reason alone will help drive sales.

I think there will be a lot pull out. At least the helis will end up with people that want them. Dedicated speed is a hard sell, the diabolical s took some time to sell out.

Too hard/complex heli how you want to express that. And "only" for speed
But i can say same diabolo and tdr.

Only time will tell. Speed for me is extra heli to my fleet.
I need to see manual first and then decide. There is good amount of time, 2nd batch

Is it really a dedicated speed machine? It's design may work well for 3D too. We have to wait to see it fly I think.

Im prepared, but im guessing when the cruch comes maybe 50% will back out. No doubt some early adopters will buy it and cash in and re sell it straight off the bat

The first production run will be earmarked for people who mostly got on the "unofficial" list nearly 2 years ago before most people even knew there was a new heli under development.

I think that the drop out rate among the first on the list will be low, but that it may go up over the following production runs.

The fact remains that this is one of the few truly unique and innovative designs being released. Actually I can't think of ANYTHING else out there that is remotely as interesting as this new design is.

Given the power that it can handle and how stout this heli is, I can't imagine that it won't be able to be flown in any way that a pilot wants.

If you look at how compact this heli is, I don't think it can help but balance extremely well. It should roll on axis very well. The only potential issue would be the tear drop tail profile and I doubt that will be a problem either.

I think your right, first batch will have minimal people drop out because it's full of die hard Henseleit freaks. People that ordered after the first time the tds was seen at Rotor live when the hype was high will likely have a larger drop out rate. Then the people that have ordered since the last rotor live should see some improvements.

I wonder what the dropout rate was on the tdr when there was a wait?
