Default 12s or 6 ... Help

I own 2 E5s one 556 one 606

Im finishing up the 556 .. need to figure out power and voltage

So I have one 5000pack and 4 3300s .. and a edge120 esc ..

Trying to figure wich makes sence cost wise because 3300s are to heavy RIGHT!

if I go 6s I will have add more 5000s in my future ...

But 12s .. I will need 2650-3000 to get in the air

And fore thoes of u suggesting to streach it and share everything ...

My wife got me 556 blades for x mass .. her first Heli related gift ever so that is out!

And im going to catch serious chit when thoes blades go in the dirt

Thanks guys !

I run stock E5 w/556 blades, 6s, 5k and my stretch with 626, 12s little heavy w/2x 4k batts.
33k batts should be great for 12s
I like the E5 6s set up as one of my grab and go helis. Single pack ,less charging time.
When I fly 12s, its usually my 630 gob or Protos max. The E5s does not get much airtime,
Thats just me, It's a great heli, and flies fantastic but,my 630 sees more airtime as it shares the 4k packs with it.

Id love to but right now if I bought another heli I would first need to buy a box of shotgun shells leave on counter with shotgun and then dig a hole in back yard and lay in it awaiting the wife to finde a new heli lol

Both of my E5 helis are 12S, one is stretched running 606 blades with 12S 3300 - 3500 batteries, the other is running 556 blades and 12S 2700 batteries. I never tried the 6S setup as I had the motors already. I love the 12S 556 E5 and to be honest, charging 2 batteries with todays chargers is not a problem at all... I notice other guys that I fly with have several other brands of true 550 size helis on 6S and they seem to complain a lot about the power drop off towards the end of their flights, I do not see that running 12S 550.

This wont resolve your dilema, The wife bought you 556 blades, you need power system regardless of 6s or 12s. Your 3300s are big for the 556 so go with 6s set up. Im running the OS4535-1260 ,w/YGE gov.store and its a fantastic motor. The OS motors arent popular yet but so far have been treating me well. I fly sport, big air, mild 3d h/s 2450/2650 and get good 4-5 min flight times easily come down at 3.8 per cell.

Since you already have 1, get couple more 5k batts, easier option then digging hole and leaving shotgun out,
JMHO
