I also have the VBar mounr.

Would have been better, in my opinion, if all the bolts were countersunk.

Anybody using the HeliOption canopy mounts? Do they work well with such a large canopy to hold on?

Anyone know of another US based dealer of tdr upgrades other than rmq? Need an extended esc tray. Or maybe someone who can make one.

I have to ask: what is wrong with RMQ? not to be facetious, but to know, because I have their tray and it is very nice and looks solid. I cannot see anything wrong with it.

Nothing is wrong with them but they are out of stock and will not have items back in stock for a while. Something about building a robot for a competition.

The last time they were out of stock the fact that I asked to be notified when they would be in stock again made the stock magically appear. May be you could try it

JWILL, just ordered an extended ESC tray from here http://www.cr-modelltechnik.de/rizub.htm
I had some stuff from them 2 years ago and I have their battery tray and ESC plate for TDR already in the post.
Not so easy to order, I just cut and pasted the descriptions in an email with my address and they gave me a quote with shipping cost to pay with Paypal.

I had both RMQ and modelltechnik trays here is a side by side comparaison.I had it posted on this thread
https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=574835

A few differences between the two:

1) The RMQ tray is slightly shorter with holes in the front they are for a Kosmik I believe.

2) The RMQ tray is more rigid because it is thicker

3) The RMQ tray is of a better quality looking carbon, the Modelltechnik looks laminated and less well finished

I also had the skid, the two halves did not match very well so decided not to infall them. I hope yours will be better.

Well that is disappointing to hear well, I haven't gotten a reply back yet I may just wait. I'll be back state side in March and I certainly don't wanna start cutting corners now with this build.

I have no complaints with that source, I had the CF Tube skids, still useable and the CF tray I have used for the Jive and Kosmic, perfectly fit for task, that survived too although there is a bit of heat damage from the flaming lipo so getting a replacement for TDR II
