They are purposely testing it at an excessively high head speed to see how it will handle it.

and it handles it well.. I've never seen this machine fail in any way with the high headspeeds being run on it. The only issues I have seen were when Charley forgets to take out a pitch leveling tool from the head or strap the flight battery down..

I personally think 90 percent of us couldn't handle the Rush750 at those headspeeds. Its nuts. Even Charley doesn't want to fly it with this setup and he is a pretty dang good pilot.

Well that isn't the right way to test a machine , first off , this is telling people that they can run this machine at this high of a head speed, then they get other helis and do the same , Someone will end up hurt or killed because of extreme head speeds , That's a 445 mph tip speed with 2600 hs, Amount of shear force is close to 200 lbs on that blade bolt just spinning, that's not counting the forces from -14+ 14 degrees of pitch,

If some noobie thinks he's gonna beable to get his 700e to run like this without the crappy align head disinagrating he's got another thing comming its a test flight showing off all the hard work put into this bird. It looks like it paid off and ill probably run mine this same way changing head bolts after ever few flights.

How else are they supposed to know the limits of the machine if they don't push it to the breaking point? These aren't just some random guys playing around with high head speeds they are developing an entirely new machine. I certainly hope no one gets hurt after watching this but you could hardly blame the guys who made the video IMO.

well first off, in secret, without showing videos to people, theres better ways to test the breakin points, no use flying with it to find out, just asking for trouble is all.

if you want pop out of a heli, its not to jack up head speed, its to make it lighter, a 10 lb 90 has about the some action like that, useing a 2000 headspeed

Welcome to evolution in design, This Hobby changes every day if we did not we would still be flying Ni-cads, wood blades with no gyro, etc, etc….. Also this is not the only Helicopter on the market pushing extremes so no need to be in here singling me out. Your assumptions to this helicopters setup and forces applied are purely your speculation based on what you see in a video. If you don't like what you have seen it is noted in your post… now please move on!

Have you ever watched videos about car crash-testing procedures? Would you ever try that with your car only because you saw others do it? Would you call those guys and tell them not to make such videos public? Would you prefer them not to do such tests at all?

It's a similar situation here. I'm sure AleeS will make it clear in the manual what's the highest head speed they recommend for this heli and they will also mention that "this RC helicopter is NOT a TOY".

I remember seeing a Kyle Dahl video of the Mikado Xtreme Logo 800 with an obnoxious head speed, just for test purposes of course... Also, it is only a 450, but Kyle also had a video of a 450 with a head speed over 4000rpm, now, he was not representing the mfg in this video, but he does represent a mfg...

I agree, I don't go drive my cars like you see even in tv commercials, the disclaimer is obvious, "Driven by Professionals"...
