Try to get your hands on a Watts'up or similar measuring device and you'll be able to spot exactly what's going on.

At least you'll be fixed after you have measured the max load... 2A sounds a bit weak for digital tho...

Eagletree has a servo monitor you can put in line with the receiver or any individual servo. The servo monitor plugs into the Eagletree Logger.

What servos? Many people are running 3xDS285 servos on the stock ESC. Search the forum.

2amps is fine for running digital servo's .... If your heli is setup correctly then the servo's will not need to push more amps... If they are binding then the amp draw could shoot up.

They only reason to try another BEC is if you are running 4S lipo...

I'm not saying his problem resides in his weak BEC, but you can't ignore the many advantages of running a separate one, as people answered in this other thread:

https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=87726

Also on the SportBEC manual they rate their 3.5A device for 4-6 digital servos max (or 8 analog ones) leading to think that digital ones eat nearly twice as much.

Yes an internal BEC does (and the reason why I want to run a seperate BEC) contribute heat...... and yes if the glitch is because your electronics are drawing more than the ESC's BEC can deliver. As to the question that that is the cause of your particular glitch I can't say. Regardless you need to eliminate it being the cause. Sorry I know thats not much help but long distance troubleshooting is never easy, ask any support technician

Perhaps I should state that a seperate BEC is not required if running digital servo's... and that there are advatages of an external BEC like what has been mentioned...

I don't think your glitch is due to too much load on your BEC though... unless you are running oversized servo's your glitch is probably coming from another issue.

I have three fut 3153 mg's for collective and a fut 9257 for the tail....logictech 2100 gyro, spektrum 6100e receiver, 430xl motor with 13t and goverened at 3000 rpm... no glitch issues with stock BEC running all digital.

Default Cooler

I put a CC BEC together with the 35X ESC and the temp of the esc went down to about half. I was at the time running 430xl 12t, 3xTower Pro sg90,(still waiting for 5065mg) GY401 and S9257. The CC BEC gives 7 amps with 12v, weight 11g and fits perfectly beside the esc in the front, now with a CC45.
