I am a sport flier only. Can I get some help in choosing a motor and pinion for the e820. I would like to keep the rpms between 1100 and 1800. Thank you.

Well not knowing what esc you plan to use or voltage I am assuming a Castle esc in set rpm gov mode and a 12s setup . With a 400 kv motor and a 13 tooth pinion a high rpm is 1780 and as for how low you can go I would say 1400 or so safely and possibly lower. Another lower speed setup would be a 12 tooth pinion and a max rpm of about 1650 and a low around 1200 or so. A lot of this would work better with a Kontronik heli jive and a 350kv motor and the 12 tooth which can get you aorund 1750 and down to 1150 or so . You are asking for a really big rpm spread is the problem . I see no real need for the 1800 on an 820 but above are some options. I have had really good luck with the Hacker A50 series in this type of an application .
