Furion electronics

I'm in the middle of a Furion build and wondering if anyone has put their ESC up forward and their receiver on the back tray. Seems like it would separate the high amp/ low amp gear but may be a balance issue. I've looked through the forum pictures and of course the manual but haven't seen anyone placing the electronics as I'm proposing. I will be using a Neu 1107/H2y, CC Ice 50, and AR6200 receiver. Any advice appreciated.

In short, yes, many people have put the high power items up front, with the receiver in back. This is the layout that I've been using and I've had absolutely no radio issues:

Thanks for the replys. I guess I'll temporarily put all the gear in place and check the CG before I wire it. Damn, my kit is short of a servo to swash connecting rod, so I'll have to wait for parts.

Put the ESC up front and the receiver in the back for the same reasons as the OP has stated. With the FP packs the Furion is slightly nose heavy. With the hyperion packs it balances out better. Did remove some of the excess material from the canopy that resides under the black windsheild to help with the CG.

My setup is almost identical...ahem...except I still have a flybar. I was experiencing more chatter when the ESC was under the battery or on the tray behind the motor, so it wound up here. The configuration seems balanced and I don't worry about how close my wires are to the pinion.
