Default AR7200BX vs BeastX

guys, 1st, thanks for the vids!
OK... Being new to all this FBL stuff, other than the obvious, is there anything different between the two? if so, what do I need to do as far as anything different during setup/programming?

Same FBL insides, the AR just includes a Spektrum RX in the same case. Setup is the same, but you skip the RX type steps on the AR7200BX.

Just wanted to say thank you taking the time to make these videos. They helped me to get an idea what are the next steps for me to make the T-REX ready for maiden flight this summer

One step i'm a little concerned with, Step L - Adjusting the cyclic swashplate limit

Let me see if I understand this. I take my cyclic stick and move it up and to left to see deflection. If I want more, I use my rudder stick - making sure the light stays blue at say 10-12 degrees cyclic pitch. Anyway, from that point, I assume I repeat the above process with the 3 remaining cyclic inputs, (up and to the right, down and to the right and finally, down and to the left).

Just to clarify, when I'm moving my cyclic down and either to left or right, I'm assuming I'm still wanting to see 10-12 pitch with blue light.

Is this correct?

Just wanted to post to this thread and thank you for doing these instructional videos. When you are a newbie like me, reading the instructions first is a must. But it is so helpful to actually see someone do the things in the manual - EXTREMELY beneficial.
So, thank you very much. My BeastX is set up and ready to be inspected by a pro just prior to it's maiden flight.
Awesome!

Good thread, videos are very helpfull. Sometimes the manuals can be hard to understand, but seeing in a video is much better..

I have a Blade 500 X with Beast in the stock position, upside down underneath. I have read you can power up with the heli on its side but that makes me nervous and I haven't tried it yet. What is the best way to power up amd make adjustments in this configuration?

Hi,

the unit only measures rotation rates, not the absolute position. It makes no difference if the heli is standing on the ground, lying sideways or whether it is upside down during initialisation (and so it also makes no difference if the unit is mounted in normal or inverted postion) Only make sure that it does not get moved when sensor zero positions are being calibrated.

Default AR7200 bx help needed please

Hey guys, I crashed my 500x so I have it rebuilt and replaced the servo gears. Went through the beast and got everything centered, etc. But now when I hit throttle hold, it shows on my DX8 however the swash doesn't lower like it did before. Now even thought I can see hold on the radio...if I move the throttle, it still acts like its in hold. But before when I hit throttle hold, the servos / swash would adjust a little and when I flipped out of throttle hold the swash and servos would adjust again.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

So I purchased a used Beastx and need to find out what software version it is. The manual says that the letter C during initialization means version four. It doesn’t say why that is and Why the letter D isn’t version 4 since it’s the 4th letter in the alphabet.

TIA.
