If you have no problems on a nitros then I should be fine

I'm loving the fusion more and more I fly it. Got the CC esc settings dialed in and need more dialing in on the MB. Also enjoying FBL too but I feel so connected on my 450pro doing graceful stuff as well as smack down flying that I'm torn on making it FBL since I'm doing fine with it the way it is. The fusion is awesome and I'll know more once I get more stick time on it. I've only got like 8 flights on it so far.

Make sure you keep the gain down quite a bit on the CC Gov until AFTER you get the MB tail all dialed in. Seen way too many people fight tail kicks and twitches only to find out it was the gov causing it.

If you prefer no expo then feel free to drop it down to zero. Pot #2 plays a HUGE roll in that connected feel. Stick response is what gives a flybarred heli that connected feeling and increasing Pot #2 will increase this. Both my 700n and N5 run at about 2 ticks positive on Pot#2 and minus 1 tick on Pot #1. Those settings really brought that "connected" feeling back for me and made it much more responsive. If you take the time to go through the guide I wrote it you'll really be suprised at how much of a difference it will make. When you're all done if it doesn't feel 100% connected then work on increasing Pot#2

thanks for the tips and advice.

I'm currently at 23 on the gov gain and still hear some gear chatter a couple times each flight just for a few seconds so I was going to try lower at 20. Where do you think I should lower it to?

Hi. Im using the MB on a scale heli and I just want to clarify something. When you speak of making the swash feel loose like a flybar machine do you mean the MB dose not drive the swash as much as it normaly would. I need stablity in the setup but I dont quite like how the MB drives the swash and you have to fight it a little.

So im trying to set this MB to feel more like a flybar machine. Im no beginner, I fly 5 blade helis without 3 axis gyros as they realy dont need them at all. 2 blades is a little more unstable and I prefer to have the gyro there as a buffer.

So I am flying the MB in sport mode at the moment but I am going to drop it to normal for more sedate feel. I have read about the pots but I dont exaclty know which ones to to dial down to get what Im after.

Cheers

you would want to increase the cyclic feed forward to get that feel.

Ok so thats pot 2. So increasing pot 2 gives the servos more controll of the swash and gives more of a fly bar feel. I hope this helps with ground controll too as I dont take off fast. I have had the heli air born 4 times just hovering. It felt good on Sport mode but when I needed to make larger corrections to compensate for strong wind it got all out of hand and felt like I had to fight the gyro to stop the ocilation pendulum it developed.

It was like every input I gave it seemed to magnify it.

nwmtech,

Regarding the Precomp tuning, if I have to adjust the linkage rod for a no-drift Rate mode hover, do I have to reteach tail slider endpoints after that?

BTW, I didn't get to fly today.

Yes you should. Will you also add that between #3 and #4 in the Precomp section please. I forgot to add that.

Bummer about flying. Hopefully soon!

We're supposed to have good weather on Saturday. I hope to be able to try this out. I'll fly and take notes of tail behavior in a climb-out as well as in some tail-intensive maneuvers with Precomp OFF. Then I'll do the Rate mode setup and turn Precomp ON and see what kind of difference it makes.

Sorry for the 'tard question, but when you are talking about precomp, are you talking about what the software refers to as revo-mix?

Just read in another post that revo=precomp (kinda guessed it did), it was just lost in the Deutsch to English translation.

nwmtech,

if my mb is working fine, do I need to setup the tail precomp?

It depends on flying style. If your mostly a sport/light 3D flyer then there's no need at all . If you fly hard 3D then it will indeed benefit you.

I'm really really more happy with the MB now. At a funfly I went to I had a field rep for my helicopter re-do my head since I had a very very very small amount of phasing. I couldn't see it but you feel it when you held the blades. I'm really happy with FBL now and feel like a dummy but oh well, glad its good now
