Default Aftermarket motor mounts

Hi I have replaced my stock tail boom with a solid cf boom and wrapped the wire around. I added a little glue to mount the motor. After some crashes I still have the motor mount coming off.

Are there any aftermarket motor mounts that would be good to use?

Also, any way to keep linkages from popping off so much?

Thanks.

I just made up a couple booms for my msrx and mcpx, with solid CF rod, RKH mounts, and cat5 wire, oh and some mcx2 motors. They seem to be working out great, I love that the RKH mounts have a screw so you can tighten it onto the boom.

Here you go:

You'll need the 6mm single mount plus either the small carbon plate or the carbon fin to attach it with. When you add it up the cost sounds like a bit much, but trust me, you'll be more than happy. Dylan makes and sells high quality stuff that is more than worth the price. The mount won't move around on the boom like the stock one does.
For the links, tie them together loosely with a bit of dental floss. They'll still pop off, but that way you won't lose them, unless the both come off which is rare in my experience. Or you can use a dab of hot glue across the antirotation forks on the rotor head to retain them. They still pop off no matter what, but these two fixes at least will keep them around.

Sorry, Craig!!! Little slow today, haven't finished my first cup yet.....

Did you put flat spots on each end of the boom? If not the rod wont go all the way in..

If you do have the flat spots and it still fits loose, you can strip piece of speaker wire and peel away one single strand of wire, use it as a shim.

Just fold the wire over the end of the boom and use the boom to push the wire into the mount, cut the wire just long enough so it barely sticks out on each side of the boom.

IF IT CAN'T BE FIXED WITH DENTAL FLOSS, THEN IT CAN'T BE FIXED..LOL
