Default Checking IR with 106b+

I just got my Icharger 106b+ and I wanted to Check the internal resistance of my mcpx batteries and they read between 80 and 99 ohms and three of the batteries I just received today new and from what I read the ohms should be like 0-10 or something I an using my parallel charging cable to check the ohms would that make the reading wrong for the resistance and if so world that make other things wrong like volts?

IR is tied to many things and capacity it one. Many newer 5000mAh packs ship with IRs of 1-2 range, 2200 packs might be 5-6mohms. Tiny packs like those used on an mcpx should be much higher but I am not sure where they will land. Rough guess should be in the 20-40mohm range.

Ok so my new batteries are probably lower than what my charger is reading probably because of the parallel cable I am using maybe I should buy a multimeter and check them

You can not test the IR of a battery with a multimeter. They do make special meters for it but you are better off not worrying about it. Use your charger as you wish but the number really doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is if the battery does what it is suppose to.

Its basically linear, so if a 5000mah cell has IR of 2 then the same cell in 250mah will have an IR of 40. Stock MCPX cells are no where near 20C though so 80-100 sounds reasonable.

Hyperion make some excellent replacements you should consider when you kill the eflight ones.
