Default Choosing stabilization system

Hi there,
With all the systems today in the market I have hard time deciding between them for my heli (Trex700E streched to 800, Xera 300kv motor).
Yesterday was it's 1st test flight at 1200rpm and it is beutiful!
11 min flight used 55% of 5000mah.

So now for the next stage - stabilization system:
Naza-H vs Skookum 720 vs H3C-SX

Which one will be best for basic good stabilization?

Thanks
Elad.

3 factors to consider..

1) Your style of flying

2) What do you plan on doing with your machine?...AP, scale build etc...

3) Budget

The heli is being built for AP basically.
Those systems are within my budjet that is why they are in the list..

If AP is going to be your usage, consider the Naza -H with GPS

It has the ability for GPS hover which will allow the pilot to focus on taking pictures or video.
While the helicopter remains "parked"

Yea, H3C-SX doesn't have GPS yet. Parking in the air allows you to focus on taking pics and video is invaluable for AP work.

Also consider SK720 with GPS as well, other than NASA-H. SK720 cost a little more, but I like the flying characteristic of Sk720 much better compare to the DJI NAZA-H.

OK..
So yesterday I purchased the Naza-H + GPS..
And I am about to get a Skookum 720 soon so I can test it (without GPS right now).

Hope it's the right choice..

Elad.

Apologies for jumping on the back of this thread, but I too am looking for a stabilisation system to go on my Protos 500.

Main feature I am after is self levelling, or bail out to keep the wallet in a healthy state.
The budget will stretch to the HC3-SX, SK720, Naza-H (with GPS if required?) or the MSH Brain.
At the moment, I am flying sports, but will start some basic 3D if all goes to plan in the summer.

Any recommendations on which system would be best?
I have the HC3-SX already on my Atom 500, and it has kept the Heli in one piece so far. Are the other systems as good as saving a dumb thumbing learner?

I think the SK720 with GPS would be the best since it will auto bail you out even if you don't flip the switch fast enough with the hard deck function.

Over the weekend, I just tested Naza-H with GPS to try to do bail out by flipping it into GPS mode while doing some simple flying around. It is just not fast enough to use as a bail out.

Thanks for the feedback.
That narrows it down to just three.
I can't find a SK720 for sale over this side of the pond though.

The Naza doesn't have a good bail out?? I didn't check that before I bought it..
But I guess I don't need that on a AP heli..

So, I got the NAZA today, just to find out that the BEC doesn't support 2s lipo and the controller doesn't support spektrum sats, how disappointing for me. Along with no bailout or RTH, it seems like this controller is a hybrid creature and has no specific advantages, especially not over the other 2 systems I mentioned.

Since I have the 610/650 servos, I need the BEC, do you guys connect the controller to the main batteries or use 3s lipo?
Is there a way to connect sort of an on/off switch to the naza? - I had the 7100 spektrum reciever and the switch there worked flawlessly for me.

I think only Skookum support Spektrum sat receiver natively. All other stabilization systems require using one cable for each channel. I'm using the NAZA with Spektrum. Just need to connect all 7 cables.

Where did you find that information?

11-55 is the limit of the "free" BEC that they give you. I use my own BEC.

As long as you give the NAZA 5 Volt to operate, it'll work.

Thanks for pointing that out wondered, I had missed that.
I'm setup and ready for test flights with a 2 cell lipo and the NAZA BEC. Every thing to this point has worked as it should I think.

You may want to disable the low power failsafe function if you only using a 2 cell lipo.

I have the Align BEC that I was using prior to installing the NAZA controller, suppose I should just put it back on.
It's a shame not to use the new one though.
