Default A New addition to the family!!!!!

For those of you who have been following..... I recently began shopping around for a bigger heli, something that would be able to stand up to mother natures bully the wind. The T-Rex 450 has spent many beautiful days grounded because of too much wind. So began my search.

I really wanted a 600n but I couldn't find one in the price range that I was shopping. Not even on eBay! Then the opportunity to own an M.A. XCell (a $1500 heli) for only $500 arose and I was beat out of the deal at the last minute becuase we all know that money talks. Came across a brand new Kyosho Nexus for less than $200 complete with radio but I had to pass on that because if Kyosho treats their heli the way they treat their cars, the parts for that heli are ONLY for that heli and are hard to find on top of that. Then I came across the Rappys by Thunder Tiger. Cheap, parts support galore, and it is a serious machine to boot! I was all ready to jump on a used .30 when I happened upon this jewel.......

Allow me to introduce "Tiny" the .50 Rappy and her little cousin "Zit" the flying backscratcher.

We got home really late from picking the heli up, I wanted to tinker with the new heli but she who should be obeyed was all tuckered out and wanted to sleep. So I did all my work by table lamp light and used my cel phone to take the pictures.

I'm still in awe at how big this machine is! Just look at it!! Zit is smaller than one of Tinys rotor blades!!!! ²

I got my 450SE V2 after about two years flying a MinAir Spectra gasser that weighs almost 10 times the T-Rex (they are perfect complementary birds BTW).

Every time I look at the T-Rex, all I can say is, I'm still in awe at how SMALL this machine is!

Isn't all a question of reference.
