Either a pushglo or a switchglo is an awesome setup.

No prob! I think QuickUK carries them. and to answer your other question, i don't think the avant kit comes with anything besides the air frame. I don't know for sure though.

No, the kit does not come with any starting equipment. The Align combo kits are about the only way to get that all in the same box.

Pushglo/Switchglow is a good way to go if you have the cash and an extra channel for it. I prefer the low-tech approach and use a remote glow adapter.

So guys, you have the extension positioned to the frame somewhere outside the canopy and use a standard rechargeable handheld glowstart, the type you would use with an rc car?

Yes. I use a glow lighter with the little meter on the end to let you know if the plug is lighting or not. Here's how I installed the remote plug on my Knight. The bracket is attached directly to an engine back plate bolt to provide the ground:

And here's the one on my N9. with the bracket bolted to the frame and a ground wire going to an engine back plate bolt. I'm sure there are cleaner ways to do it than what I've got, but this should at least give you the idea.

I think I used to go through 2-3 of the remote glow extensions per season.

Replaced with SwitchGlo Pro. No way will I ever use a regular glow igniter again. Great device for Nitro helicopters. Prevents hot starts and simplifies the amount of stuff I have to bring with me.

I won't own another Nitro helicopter without a SwitchGlo Pro on it.
