Is there EVER anything in the North Texas area??
I've been flying for a year, and have never flown with anyone...I'd love to go to an event, if there was ever one around.....shouldnt Dallas be a target!?!?
**EDIT** Just saw the one in houston...still a 3 hour drive, but I suppose its "close" |

Yes, it has been 12 Years since Diane and I opened the shop and we would like invite everybody out for a couple of fun days of flying. The club will be cooking lunch and dinner on Saturday. Rusty's got the shirt figured out. He kinda ran with the Friday the 13th theme. They're going to be cool. Also, if you have a Blade MSR, bring it. If the wind cooperates, I think we will have some fun pylon racing them.
Info can be found at aerohobbies.com and 114thrc.org Hope to see everybody there. Thanks, Andy Aero Hobbies |

There's also Heli Blaze in Grand Prairie, which was held in June. The heat was so bad they're probably moving it to October starting next year. The AMA website is a good place to check; they have a calendar of sanctioned events.
Thus far this year, I've gone to Helis Unlimited in Tyler, Heli Blaze, and SRC in Mt. Pleasant. I will be attending Andy's event and plan to add the Austin fun fly to my slate for next year.

Rbeal31...
There is no reason to fly alone here in North Texas or North Dallas. We would love to have you come fly with us in McKinney any time you can. We fly almost every Saturday and Sunday and it is almost exclusively Heli's. A virtual "Fun fly" every weekend.. Several other great fields to fly at too. PM me and I will give you directions and arrange to meet you there. Looking forward to meeting you.
