I must have got a good one or.....they have improved the assembly of these...this thing is awesome, mine flew great out of the box....I put one battery though it then decided to take it apart to check some of the common things. The only thing I found that was a safety concern was the A gear rubbing the servo FET. I simply removed the blades and ran the motor with an emery board to sand it down alittle, problem solved.
The bearings looked good, the TT was straight and installed the correct direction. the gears are smooth, you can check this by simply dropping the main gear down off the motor pinion. The best part was all the electronics worked right out of the box. There is slop in the head and tail. Fixed the head slop by installing the extra canopy grommets on the swash balls. Fixed the tail by installing MCPX canopy grommets on the tail grip ball links. I messed around with the tail gain a little but found the factory setting to be the best. I did check the tail servo mechanics screws for tightness and discovered one was just spinning and will not tighten. So I put a small amount of CA on the screw and put it back in. I also have the boca bearing kit but will use the stock bearing for as long as they will last. I have 6 battery though it now and have not noticed any wear in the gearing at all, they all look as new out of the box. I checked my tail blades for balance by inserting a carbon rod trough both of them and setting the carbon rod on the edge of two drinking glasses they were balanced. My MCPXes are in danger of being retired...LOL

You just read the magical and super special HF stickies!!! Which some how spread the magic to your helicopter. 300+ flights for you!!!!!!!!! Becasue some how reading a sticky, makes the frame dimensions change, and the Metal A gear no longer eats the front servo.

I got a good one too. I only break and strip stuff By crashing. Even then its been at minimal cost and downtime. Its usually back in the air before the motor cools when i make a repair.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. Please excuse spelling and/or grammar issues. My thumbs are huge from all this RC flying.
