Question Why would my my DX9 not bind but my DX7 would......

I was working on some mCPX's today. I got all three of them done and went to bind them to my DX9. The first one bound but the others would not. The DX9 would say "Bind Fail". I tried binding all three of them to my DX7 and all three bound.

I have bound my DX9 to my NQX and my Witespy quad with no problems. Could there be a problem with my new TX or am I doing something wrong??

HHmm there's something somewhere about binding in computer mode...some older heli's need it, especially if they've been bound to a non-digital

Throttle stick lower right or something...not too sure but I saw it somewhere

Tried moving away and no joy. I know I have to hold right rudder after releasing the bind button on my DX7 to get bind to mCPX V2 boards.

Well...I cannot say I've had that experience...but have bound 12 different mCPX's in various order over the past couple weeks getting them all set up in the DX9, and haven't had any problems with binding from 3 feet away

Another idea...have you done the 1.03 firmware update to the DX9?

And btw...have you checked out the StaGility threads for the 350QX and 180QX...some serious fun going on there !

I have 1.02. I'll update it in a bit. I did get another one to bind by standing a little more away from the heli.

I typically put My finger on the bind button...hit the on switch and stand up walk away...turn around and the buxom babe says Bind Complete

BTW there are ALOT of new custom voice setups in the new firmware update...full support for the Smart - Stability - Agility platforms as well as some stuff for gassers and camera/gimbal controls...

I think it's in the Spectrum Forum that a guy made a list of all the voice setups, ( I count 161) and the rumor is that user-defined voice setup is not too far away (just need a babe to do voices)

I've heard of people having to stand 10 feet away. The diversity antennas on the DX9 provide a stronger signal, so you have to move farther away to avoid RF "flooding".

You know I just bought a DX8 G2 and was having a hell of a time trying to bind it to a mcpx bl that I just purchased. Could not get it to bind and as I am a newbie I was doing it right at the bench. Was ready to give up until I read this thread and figured let me give the 9 - 10 distance thing a shot I was figuring it was a bunch of BS. Well I tied it and BAM instant bind wilh voice saying bound at 11 ms. It does work !!. Ia m still scratching my head as to why between TX and heli you spend over $ 500.00 that you have to try all the tricks. You think it would be like bluetooth and your cell and computer where it would talk to each other at any range.
