Default No full negative pitch after setting up AR7200BX

Hi guys, need some advice here.

I set the maximum and minimum collective pitch to +/- 12 deg during setup. Upon completion of setting up, return to flying mode, when move the throttle stick all the way down, the negative was only about 5 degs.

Collective setup needs to be performed with a linear pitch curve. Once that is done, you can use whatever curves you want. What are your present pitch curves?

Pitch curve was linear from 0 to 100 and I am sure too I save the selection. Will try again later.

When return to collective pitch setup and move the stick all the way down, I got -12 deg. But as soon as I exit the setup menu, I got less than that.

Are any of your pitch curves something like 30-40-50-75-100 ?

I can't think of what else would cause this.

Make sure your throttle hold curve is not like suggested above. I've done this many times, then realized I had my TH curve set the same as normal 25 25 50 75 100 - (you may want it that way though?)

I don't think it was the case this time, not sure, but just be certain you have completed step K correctly, and as mentioned above, make sure you have a linear curve from 0 to 100 for set-up, and whilst checking afterwards.

Cheers

Me too. Just getting my 250 in the air but am seeing this same issue. TC is linear in UI and TH modes, I've set up the same +/-12, but as soon as I set the Beast back to flight mode I only get a small amount of neg. pitch, beyond which the stick is dead.

Thoughts appreciated...

What's are the pitch curves? Hold, Normal, idle 1 and 2? I'm assuming TC means throttle curve or did you mean PC? In which flight mode are you having this issue? Servo endpoint values?

Thx, I meant Throttle Curve. The point I'm making is that even though my curve is 0-25-50-75-100, full negative pitch is not being achieved. I'm pretty sure it's something I'm missing with the Beast, as I am very familiar with setting curves in conjunction with my other heli's and FBL unit. I've set the pitch end points over and over on the Beast (option K), same result.

Cheers,

The throttle curve has nothing to do with pitch. I think you should take a close look at your Pitch Curves and see if one or more is not 0-25-50-75-100. Either that, or you are confusing me, which is not a hard thing to do...

Grrr... I take back every thing I've said about throttle, and I meant _pitch_. In reality my pitch curve is straight 0-25-50-75-100 for both throttle hold and stunt (IU). I noticed this issue while flying in IU and am now trying to fix it (while in throttle hold). I didnt want to get into a discussion on flight modes, cause even if I didnt articulate it properly, I'm confident my radio is sending full range to the Beast. So hopefully I've got us back on the initial thread: why might after calibration won't my (and the Thread owner's) Beast go to full neg. pitch?

THX!

Okay, what are your servo end point settings for the pitch channel (on your transmitter)? If they are 100/100 have you tried a rebind?

Yes 100/100, even if they weren't they are the same end points with which I set the limits on the Beast!...

Cheers,

So I just went to try that, no change. Went back to my end point setup and they showed +/-12, but in operation I was still at +12/-4. Then I thought: what if I set my my neg to -16 or something? Well that worked. So I went back again and set it to what I wanted +/-12.

Every time I was checking my end points, all I was doing was verifying them, I had no reason to change them. So whether the rebind helped, or whether it was just me actually setting new endpoints that did the trick, I don't know!

Cheers,

Whatever did it, I'm sure happy you got it sorted. Good job!

I am now having this same problem with the BeastX.
I have HUNDREDS of flights on this machine and now I can't figure out why I can't get full negative.
All pitch curves are the same 0-25-50-75-100
Step K is complete. +13/-13
When I exit setup menu I no longer get full negative pitch, in fact, I get now collective movement at all below about 1/4 stick.
Tried a rebind with no effect.
