Hover training on Phoenix is just crap to put it lightly, I guess you can try and setup limited rates in your transmitter to make the heli more docile.

Do not use the hover trainer in Phoenix. Instead add an F3C box to the field and try stay within that.

To tame a heli, lower the rates (this is the maximum signal that will be sent at full stick deflection). This will slow things down and you will not have to chase corrections as much.

P.S. You may want to have a look at: From tail-in to all 8s and funnels in 6 months

Was just going to try the F3C box and Phoenix says I don't have a tx profile selected. It didn't save my profile. I've done this set up so many times I don't have to look at Arch's set up thread!
I'm about done with Phoenix!!
It's v5.5i

Just did a complete reset up and now don`t have enough throttle to lift off. Phoenix disc is going in the garbage and I`m deleting it from the puter. Any suggestions on what sim to try next

That is a bit drastic, whichever Sim you get it will need some sort of setup so you might as well get this one setup.

I think you can find some YouTube vids on setup.

I've got the set up figured out.(I've done it enough times!) Just never get the same results. Every time it's something different. I've had it working pretty decent before. Since I tried to set up using Simstick pro, I've had nothing but problems. Had it set up to work with the dongle and when I started Phoenix a couple of days later, no tx profile. Redo set up and then throttle and pitch are reversed and reversing in tx has no effect nor does reversing in sim. Delete sim and reload and reset and then cyclic won't calibrate. Maybe I'll delete sim and reload?

I am using Simstick Pro without issues, works every time. Using it with Futaba S-Bus love it, single cable between Simstick and receiver and no cables between computer and transmitter. The only way to sim.
