I worked for years on a railroad simulator. Best job I ever had. Miss it...

yeah that might be fun.. I was thinking more like in Phoenix you'd be looking down at the model on a hobby table

Found a glitch already. It will lock you out of inputting numbers in the parameter fields in the model edit after a while. Closing the window and opening a new one it resets it but it's making setting up the sim tedious.
If you can repeat that bad behavior, please send a note about the fault to Phoenix.
They are a helpful company and will pass your comments to the developers.

Yeah, a few years ago I reported a bug to them and they were definitely interested in hearing about it and fixed it. That's kinda the way this new phased release model works (to the extent that I understand current software development practices/fashion trends, which ain't much).

just installed 5.5i and spent about an hour flying planks and helis. I really like what they have done. I didnt have any issues. I tweaked some flip and roll rates, changed headspeeds. Everything seems great on helis especially autos. The planks are better than they were on version 5 but still seem like they hover alot easier on the sim compared to real life. Over all im happy

I hated the 5.5 beta when it first came out and reverted back to 5.0x. I decided to dip my toes in with 5.5i, and I was impressed enough to leave it there. I like my helis again

I finally took the plunge last night, and updated to 5.5.j. I'm pretty happy with it overall. The helis still feel the same, but the planes feel a lot better! It still doesn't model stall behavior very well though.

Somebody mentioned that the load screen has a multi-rotor on it now. They failed to mention that the background is a busy city scene. Given all the hoopla over multi' these days, you'd think Horizon could set a better example...

Thanks for this - The launcher problem is still there as at 13th May 2016!!! - I followed your instructions to the file on their server and copied it into the program folder - it is now launcher version 1.2, but this is still not listed on the Phoenix site as a download...
