Default Electric motor bearings failures.

Stripped a maingear?

Dont blamed the motor manufacturer if the bearings crap out on you within X number of flights afterwards.

Stripped the maingear on my Logo 700 last time I was out flying, today the bearings went, its the second time this has happened to me in different machines with different motors.

These had about 20-30 flights on it (Xera motor) so they would probably have lasted 400 more if it wasnt for the gear going.

Just a reminder that it might happen if you strip the gear.
You hear when bearings start to fail from the increase of sound & temp.

Just something to think about IF you do strip a maingear.

100% agree with you, stripping the main gear adds a lot of load onto the bearings best to replace

I just stripped a main gear a few days ago on my 600e. I ordered new bearing blocks with thrust bearings. Thanks for this thread, I'll be changing my motor bearings too!
One great thing about stripping the gear, I did my first auto from high up...successfully!

Funnily enough I got about 300 flight from my trex 500 before it's first crash, low and behold a couple of flights later the motor bearings crapped out. Quick replacement after 2hours of getting the thing apart and she's sweet again.

FYI the shaft can also break soon after a gear stripping. There is no telling how much force is produced when a gear strips.
