Hawk rc tail upgrade
I was wondering if anyone can chime in on this and if it is worthwhile upgrading my warp with the full tail kit from hawk rc, I'm in the middle of a full rebuild and was maybe thinking of upgrading

Not worth it. The Hawk parts are soft and the stock tail is awesome when built correctly.

The only thing I kept on mine are the elongated tail case sides with the cross member.
I think it helps giving a bit of extra rigidity. The tail case was nice but I stripped a bolt hole, like said above, soft metal. Their tail shafts are a no go, why would I want to take this sturdy 4mm shaft!?

I also tried it back in 2012 and could not dial it in correctly. Disk was smaller and could not find tge right blades or the right settings.
I also kept using the longer tail cases on the normal tail (which works ok with the KBDD tails).

Thanks guys,I'll just run with the stock unit.
I'm hoping to have this thing finished in th next couple weeks and I'll post some pics. It's really hard to even get a spare 5 min at the moment with family and other commitments but I'm really very happy I went with the warp it's such a nice little Heli I really can't wait to get it in the air and start flying it. |
