Default E5 stretch frame stripped off electronics -- what to do?

I retired the 600 size class from my fleet. I sold some of the electronics and will soon remove the rest of the electronics I'm keeping for the next build. What should I do with this stripped E5 stretch airframe? I have a ready to fly E5. Should I just keep the stripped E5 stretch as a ready source of spare parts for when I crash my E5 or should I just sell this E5 stretch airframe?

Retired the 600 class... blasphemy!

I would keep it for parts. No sooner do I sell a spare frame I crash and need parts.

I tried to make the 600 size work. I flew 74 flights on the E5s. No issues or weird tendencies. It's just that running the E5 on a single 6S pack is much more simple, so the E5 gets more air time. If I want to deal with 12S, I rather grab the E7SE, so it too gets more air time than the 12S E5s. Also, the E5s was the only bird in my fleet using the 6S 3.3Ah packs.

I'll keep the E5s airframe for now as a ready source of spare parts, but if the right offer comes along, I may just let someone else enjoy it.

Thanks Chris.

I get that. My e5 556 gets more time than my e5s just because I love my n5c when I fly 600 class it's normally smoking.

I sure do like my E5s on 12s with 620s but my 3300 packs are made into sticks so it is no harder to put them in than a single 5000 except there are 2 EC5 plugs to hook up. Either way they are a great heli !!

No, it was not hard at all to install and remove the 3300mah packs. It's just that after I charged the 3300mah packs at home, I was committing to flying that one heli exclusively with those packs. Right now, I charge 4400 packs at home, and I have 5 different helis I can use them on, which ever heli I feel like flying at the moment. I guess you can say I have commitment issues, and prefer to keep my options open.

Having a 600 when you have a near identical 700 electric makes the 600 sort of redundant as you pointed out, especially when you have a 550 that shares packs with the 700.

I'd say keep it around for spare parts and sell both if you're going to sell either.

It's just that I built the E5s airframe so well, I hate to just have it sitting there unused waiting to be stripped down for spare parts. I'm still considering my options with that airframe.

If I were to sell the built E5s airframe only (74 flights, no crashes, 4.5:1 tail gear ratio), what would be the going price shipped?

Since I got my E7SE in the air, I decided to stretch my E5, and am going to run a low head speed and fly it after my E7SE. I only have 2 stick packs for the E7SE, so I'll have time for my E5s.
