Default Wobble problem

I have noticed a wobble that is not related to something being out of ballance.

When I transistion from forward flight to hover, I get a wobble that dissapates over a little time (10 - 30 seconds). Is this something that can be attributed to dampening in the head?

I am running an AL 600 combo, with the align ESC and motor, using the grey dampers, SAB 600mm mains, Align tail.

I took a quick trip to the flying field this AM for flight #5 and was able to get some decent flying in (no thrashing or 3d). I flew a couple of hard climb outs, and circuits to approaches. This is where I noticed the wobble.

probably the head speed. what's your throttle curve, battery, blades, pinion, and pitch?

check your headspeed... wobble is usually because the HS is too low if you are running stock gearing you should be at 90% or above on the throttle in hover , most run a straight 100% in idleup , also make sure your ESC is getting 100% throttle at full stick either by reprogramming and/or expanding your endpoints on your throttle endpoint adjustment...

Yep I am with Kong here.... Head speed is probably low in relation to amount of pitch in the hover.

The grey dampeners are the soft ones, aren`t they?

It`s possible to get wobble, if your Head is to soft for the high headspeed.
I would suggest both: increase and decrease your headspeed and see what happens, then insert the black dampeners and try the same.

Just took it out for flight #6. I really like this bird

Adjusting the Throttle curve fixed the problem.

Former T-Curve 0-40-80-90-100
New T-Curve 0-45-90-95-100
Idle up 1 100-95-90-95-100
Idle up 2 100-97.5-05-97.5-100

Pitch -9 to +9
Normal P-Curve 40-45-50-75-100
Idle ups 0-25-50-75-100

Thanks for the advice.

rookie question perhaps but, what is the purpose of the "05" throttle setting in idle up 2?

thanks,
dave

I would guess its a typo and should read '95', this is the usual mid-stick setting for throttle in idle up 2.

Man I LOVE HeliFreak!
Just toook my new 600 to the field to try it out & wobbled like heck! Brought it home & went through EVERYTHING to no avil. Get on the Freak & WaLa!

Bumped my curvs up to what staplegun did & that got the biggest majority of it out. I think I'm going to chunck the stock gear & go for an 11 tooth!!
