Default Spektrum Satelite Won't Bind above 5.1v

I'm stumped. I picked up a Castle BEC and installed it. I have a BeastX Microbeast Plus FBL unit with a single DSMX satellite. I also have a AR6210 for testing.

During binding, the satellite will flash momentarily and then the light will go out when I set the BEC to more than 5.1V, the default setting. If I bind it there, and go to 6V, the satellite will flash once or twice and then go out. No link is established. If I bring the voltage back down to 5.1V, I will get a link and everything will work fine. Same happens at 5.5V. The satellite should be able to handle the 6V, shouldn't it?

Edit: So there is some sort of a voltage regulator in the BeastX to Spektrum adapter. I'm guessing the satellite should be closer to 3.3V.

Yes. The remotes operate at a voltage lower than the main input to a normal Rx. If your using one with a 3rd party controller it must have a regulator in it. It sounds like there is some kind of problem with the regulator in your controller. AFAIK BeastX is a licensed Spektrum product partner. I would contact them about what the problem might be that is causing it not to work within specs.

I made a home made BeastX Spektrum adapter not realizing that the $25 adapter had some voltage regulation built in. So I was sending the BEC voltage straight to the satellite.

There are other brands that produce those adapters, look around, for sure you can have for much less than $25.

EDIT: Others please confirm, but pretty sure the Spirit one will work
