Hi everyone,

Collective Designs Team has just finished up and posted the T-Rex 500ESP model, updated for G4.5. You can find the download HERE.

Many complained of compatibility issues with the latest beta of 4.5, but .036 has fixed that, as does this model.

Makes me wonder if it's time to move up to a real rex 500 if the sim model is any indication of what to expect.

Once I download the file, how do i get it loaded onto my Realflight software? When I go to unzip it, I get an error that it's not associated with a file type.. dead end.

help?

Do NOT unzip the file.

In Realflight ...

Simulation menu -> Import -> RealFlight Archive (G3X/RFX)

yes - that's a good heli.

But the sound SUCKS! ...it's too metallic

We are limited to the sounds RF provides. The Starter Motor profile seemed to be the best fit.

Pretty close!

Obviously everyone's setup will be different, but we tried our best to find the closest "middle ground". It's plenty quick on high rates, and on low rates and Idle 1 it should be good for a beginner.

If you need to change anything you can do so with the aircraft editor.

Seriously, this is my new favorite heli on realflight! I traded in the Dominion 3D for it. I figured I should fly heli's i can actually afford to fly in real life. 450 V2 and the 500 are it.
Thanks for hooking it up!
I changed the pitch to +/- 12 and 6 on the aileron or whatever a little less snappy but more realistic for my cheapo real life setup!
How about an avant 600 electric?

Unfortunately the team has been pretty quiet these days because of work and real life obligations. Also, we only model aircraft we have, and none of us have an Avant. Plus, there is no real electric .50 size Avant that I know of ...

How do i download it? I have went to Library: Documents: RealFlight G4 and saved it. I also went Library: Documents: RealFlight G4: Vehicles and saved it. What am i doing wrong?
