Default Gens Ace Warranty ?

How long is the warranty on these lipos ? I have two 4s 3300 40c Gens Ace lipos and noticed last weekend on at least one it didnt have no power. This weekend 2 takeoffs and 2 quick landings due to lack of power.

I hook them up to a meter and under load 1 of the 4 cells drops to below 2.0 and 1.89v. Both were just bought in March not even 90 days old.Not many flights on them either. I threw away a Gens 3s 2200 last month or so that had a bad cell, wasn't that old either.

Im not so sure about these Gens anymore.

Anyways how long is the warranty.

order # yhst-62196343123315-267085

Hello,

The order number that you gave me has two Sky Lipo batteries on it. Is this the order you are referring to?

Thank you,
Danny V

I've been using gens ace packs since before they ever started becoming popular and have not had any issues
I have some 3s and 4s packs well over 1.5year that are still perfect, no puff and no loss of fly time. and I have heated them up in my 450 many times over

that said I wish they would do a better job of stocking packs

I have 4 packs with not many flights on them really that have a bad cell....

I also just got a GensAce lipo with a bad cell. Makes me wonder if that's why the 65C was cheaper than the 60C. Seeing all the recent bad cell posts, I would rather have a refund than risk a helicopter on a replacement, but I also don't want to pay return shipping and a 15% restocking fee on something that was DOA. Ugh.

I bought 6 GensAce packs (6s 3300mah) on July 19 and received them on July 25. I didn't get to test them until just after the 30 day warranty period ended. I found out one of my GensAce 6s packs has a bad cell. I emailed HobbyPartz and they basically told me that out was out of luck since the 30 day warranty had elapsed. I will think twice before ordering more of these packs. In the long run, I wonder if it's cheaper to just get Hyperions or even ThunderPower since they will cover battery issues for an entire 2 years, last I checked.

I just had a 6s 3300 lose a cell. It only had 6 cycles on it. That equals about $10 per flight or $2 a minute to fly. Nitro isn't looking so bad after all.

I have long been a believer in spending the extra money to get a quality product. I was swayed by the masses on these though. Every now and then, man has to be reminded of why we make the choices we make. Time to start looking for a different brand.

Wellif you only had 6 cycles on it that means it's most likely under 30 days old.. it would be warrantied.

6 cycles is not even a half day of flying.

Ive got Gens Ace with 100s of cycles on them no issues.

6S 3700s and 3S 2200s all perfect.

I cannot justify paying TP sometimes double to price for the same performance for a warranty I may or may not need.

they are over 30 days old. I got them before I had the heli finished. They're out of stock anyway so it could be a while before replacements are available.
