Looks good,
I would check the tightness of the blade grips, they look a little loose in the vid. To loose can cause a boom strike.

Noted and done - along with clutch dragging issues.

Now if i could only figure out why the rudder servo is not centering itself like it should - any idea's out that as everything else is working (align gp750 gyro, Dx6i and Align DS650 on the rudder)?????

If you are in heading hold the servo will not center, and that is normal, beyond that I am not familiar with that gyro. Sorry.

Most gyros will have ground creep when in HH and stting still. Mine does it and I just move the rudder back and forth a couple of times and it will center or some will turn HH off when on the ground.

Thanks guys, after playing with the settings in the tx, I managed to get it working correctly - firstly i had to turn it on via the tx, then it was just a case of getting the gain correct ...... without flying it, 40% looks a good mix between reaction to stick speed and amount of gyro response!
These DS650 servos are SERIOUSLY fast!!!!!!

Do you have training gear? I always use them on any first flight on a heli. You never know what might go wrong the first time!

First test flight under my belt ...... was one tentative and nervous man with 6 months worth of work resting on the tips of my fingers ..... now just a little fine tuning to where I'll be happy she is tuned, trimmed and under control - currently she reacts to cyclic input like a hummingbird on acid .... way to eager, needs to be toned down a little via the tx.

No, they are 'Klone' carbon mains ex Helikraft, and I have standard raptor plastic ones on the bum.

YEA !
I love it dude ! Good job ! You'll never be the same again. That NITRO smells great don't it ? Before you know it...you'll be hovering inverted.

The wife & I got a kick out of the video. I'm happy for ya man. I'll never forget my first lift off. I was shaking like a leaf. The wife was laughing her head off, I didn't think it was funny at the time. She quit laughing when I started ordering engines, mufflers, fuel, parts, electronics, another heli, more parts, more fuel, another heli. Well, you know where I'm going. Did I mention more fuel ? I fly A LOT

Happy flying

LOL .... thanks man ... and yes, I can see where you were taking that!!

Still, I know I have a little more setup to do, so once I get around to getting my head in the right mindset to do it, that's the next plan of attack.
Mind you, after the first flight with an unproven machine .... least I have a helicopter that is still in one piece to work on!!

One thing I found, is that despite the over sensitive response and rudder/roll pulling to the left to start with, and not to mention WAY too much speed in the bum (lack of gain) .... once I get the sub trim added and RELAXED a bit ...... dam that thing was NICE!!!!!!!

I'll answer in 3 parts:

A) ... HELL YEAH ... oxygen is GOOD!!!!!!
B) ... TT Raptor paddles and flybar (original ones were bent by the factory getting them into the box - or so it looked that way - the LHS entire shipment was supplied ex Australia that way)
C) ... Re dampeners .... what ever ones were supplied in the kit!

OUCH ... a month .. i can relate to going nuts - it took me 6 months to get all the bits and bobs to get this one flying, let alone have it sitting around for that long!

Finnally warming up here but it is dark by the time I get home from work! I'm going to try to fly the 450 at lunch and maybe I'll get to try the Stinger this weekend.
