LOL. Compass helicopters are like the VW Bug of the RC heli world. They (Compass) seem to have a knack for producing unorthodox looking helicopters. Which is probably why their slogan "Leading the way" is bang on.

I think it was unorthodox enough it didn't sell. I don't mind the appearance. I have the V2 canopy, and it's a nice looking canopy. Same shape, but much difference in different paint. Long stance skids is because it has a lot of boom out back. Would be unstable on the ground with shorter spacing.

I actually meant that as a compliment However looks are highly subjective... For example, I really like the canopy design of the 7HV but I am not too excited on that of the Warp's, or the original yellow and green 6HVU. I prefer Fusuno's re-designed Warp canopy although it probably is a couple of grams heavier:

I also prefer the shape (and size) of the Fusuno Atom 5.5 canopy over that of the original. The new red and blue 6HVU canopy by Compass is pretty good though... better than the yellow and green original even though they are the same shape. Must be the way the lines flow... just my opinions of course.

Understood. I think unorthodox has it's place, but many of us indeed buy helis for how they look as much as how they fly. The electric cooling was also a novel idea which wasn't convincing to buyers.
