I don't know about the rest of you, but I've found the 4#6 models pretty reliable, low maintenance helis. I bounce mine hard and regularly. And with the fact I pulled the bottom board from the 2433rx to save weight [I cut almost 2gm from the rx]
Been very tempted to get a V120-1 head/swash and try it. I tried the FBL 4#6 conversion, but liked the B/H better..Don't know if the V120 components will make that much difference. regards, Bill |

No! Wait! Get the D02.
The D01 "chews" it's rubber O-rings with little e-clips on the feathering shaft. Also, in a crash, the D01 head throws the e-clip off of right the shaft. Outdoors, the wide, thick blades on the D01 are part of it's stability...but they lift too fast, and can't descend fast enough (above 0% throttle), if there's a good wind. The D02 is as easy to fly (ok, after a few warm-ups), and the 02 has a "harder head" so most losses are just blades. With Timewerx's "tape the tip" mod, the blades go for several strikes. Just my two cents. |

Just bought a used 4#6, and love the way it flies, very stable. I do have an issue with it not staying up, constantly have to give it more throttle or less to keep it in a hover, there seems to not be a sweet spot where it will just hove vertically.
Laterally it is rock solid. Any ideas what could be the issue, it looks stock. |

It's an old model now, so the first thing I'd suspect is the B/L motor has lost some torque due to age and overheating. The main motor gets pretty toasty after 5 min's of use.
