Default Hello from Oshkosh Wisconsin

Hi, In my younger years I was really it RC planes up to and including 1/4 Scale gas pawered models. Had to give it up when the kids were born, now kids gone and I have been fooling around with helis for a year or so. I have a number of birds including Blade CX2, MSR, MSRX, CPX, 120SR, 200SRX and 230. I also have two blade CP pro's that I have never been able to get off the ground. I use a Spektrum DX6 transmitter. I don't consider myself a beginnner but far from expert or really inremediate. I can hover and manuver around in the house with all of the fixed pitched birds. I can fly the CPX but find it really twitchy. I have only hovered the 230 so far. I have been reading the forum for some time and figured it was time to join so here I am!!

Hi and welcome. I am from Racine so maybe next season we will coincide at an event. It seems all you need is a sim and train to further your skills with a training program. Check out the RC Flight school from the main page. Taking ArchMageAU's myself. Good luck!

Welcome. Nice to see I'm not the only one in the area.

Nice to see you are in Wisconsin. I am from SWARM down in Milwaukee but just retired and will be going to more fun fly's this year. I also just got the 230s for indoor flying at our golf dome on Saturday nites. You have a very active heli group up there at the Fond du lac flying club and up at Appleton if you are interested. Good Luck!!

I am from Racine I think I will join SWARM next year. Yes we should help announce fun fly's next season for people to join us on the Wisconsin/Illinois area. These are great events to meet other pilots and to have some face to face and hands on help from fellow pilots. A pro pilot may show up or be announced for the event and is a blast to see much better than YouTube videos.

Welcome.

You might want to join the FB group Wisconsin Heli Crew. Fun Flys are announced up there as well.
