Why is it better? WAY more power! Better hold in the tail, less twitchy, and doesn't need as much maintainance (or upgrades...) as the 130x does. One thing with the 130x is that you'll learn good collective management because of the lack of power. I've learned that from my 130x. One side note is that I live at 1 mile altitude, so I need more power then people at sea level...

Hate to rain on the parade, but both videos show a good bit of tail wag before the 3D maneuvering starts. I hope Align dials this in before release! Would definitely like to see some extended hovering on a video clip.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?featur...&v=BFPASDJiKRI I think Align has new hit with this little guy. Second test flight seals the deal for me. I'll wait for reviews before pulling the trigger. I think this is the real Blade 130X killer!

I can't believe they would release a video with the tail wagging that bad. Sheesh!

He was joking. There is no tail wag. Awesome. I am definitely pre-ordering this heli! He did scare me before I watched the video. lol

That thing is all servos! ...but that's good to see. I'm looking forward to this bird.

Wow that has a lot of electronic parts. So many boards stacked. The swash geometry is good with the anti-rotation guide at the back but I'm not sure about that elevator servo mounting. The servos look absolutely huge, what's up with that.

I see nothing wrong with the servo layout. Sub-micro servos is the way to go to make it fly well. The 130X has its problems for having linear servos. Many modders install a sub-micro tail servo on the 130X to make it fly "decently." I think Align has hit the nail with this new little guy.

I'm not talking about functionality, I'm talking about it breaking off or causing stress on the boom. Time will tell.
Also, the "external" servo on the 130X is for the tail blades, not the elevator. |

I am very glad to see regular servos. The linear servos used by other brands always seem to get glitchy and need cleaning. Cleaning the linear servos doesn't always restore them to 100% either.

Agreed, Four. I owned two 130xs and none of them had a decent tail hold. I considered modding it with an external, sub-micro tail servo but didn't want to burn more money. Let's see what reviewers say about his new heli.

Glad I held off buying the 130X for 15 months!!
This looks to fix all the issues with the 130 - rotary servos, no delicate TT gears, DFC head, rear anti-rotation guide, beefy looking components all round

I am totally going to buy one of these but my first opinion is the canopy sucks, it needs some color. I hope the final product isn't this bland.
It was previously said ask and you shall receive....Show us some pics! Edit: Obviously my office firewall was blocking the existing pic because I did not see that. Anyways....more! :-)

One of the most important elements that doesn't seem to have been published is its blade size!
On the video it looks smaller than the 130X, but a little larger than the MCPX BL

Align has my attention with this Heli
Now if it Binds to Spektrum without issue & it fly's without requiring aftermarket parts right out of the box, then count me in Align I'm still having a lot of fun with my Trex 250 DFC Plus!
