Default What servos and FBL unit are you guys running?

I'm going to order my mini p in 3 weeks. Just trying to get a feel for what you guys are running for servos, and FBl units? I think when I order the mini protos I'll also get msh brain fbl unit. I have 6 thunder power 3s 225ha 65c batteries, will these be ok?

I run VBar on all my machines. Partly due to the fact that I'm very familiar with the way ti works, and how to tune it. Other FBL systems out there are a little cheaper, and seem to work just fine in comparison. I keep meaning to try some other units, but always fall back to my roots with VBar.

Servo's that I would reccomend would be Hitec 5065MG's, or the MKS. The JR285's I have are a bit slower than the rest of the bunch, but still seem to work pretty decent. For the tail I`m using a MKS 8910. BLS 257 is a solid choice as well as a bunch of other servo`s out there. All depends on budget and what performance your looking for.

When I was running a 3S setup, those are the same packs I was using. Great choice.

FBL is a personal choice, Skookum, VBar or beastx are all excellent choices (MSH brain looks great too but its not out yet).

As to servos, if you want the best go Ds95 cyclic and Ds95i on the tail. Best 450 setup by a long way.

I went for vbar + MKS 95s.

V-Bar with DS95/DS95i combination, the best possible setup IMO.
I used to run Savox / Align servos (more in your other thread) and also BeastX v2. I didn't like the piro compensation and piro rate in fast travels on the BX, so I got a V-Bar and have been happy ever since

7200BX with Hitec 65HBs. I'm not a stick banging 3d pilot, but all I ever get are compliments on how smooth she flies. I hope people aren't just being nice.

Was flying beastx and love how it flys but after a bad 500 crash just put helicommand hc3sx's on 3 of my birds to give me the best bailout system in the biz. Sure it will save a couple of crashes and help me to push my limits. MSH brain looks great will try this too when it's out.

There is not one "best" setup, it is all personal preference and budget. Many seem happy with MKS brand.

I'm flying hitec 65mg, futaba 9257, ar7200bx. Plenty of responsiveness for me, but I'm not doing any 3d yet.

I have one of those TP packs, and I like it. 6-7 minute flights on 15t at 2500 head speed.

You are using the VBar governor I presume?

How well does it work with the stock MSH/YGE ESC?
I have the sensor on mine for telemetry and SK720 logs, not tried the governor though...

Yes, using the V-Bar governor :).

It works very well with the MSH/Scorpion motor and YGE ESC. In fact the gov is so powerful on 6S, that tail tuning becomes quite a challenge on a stretch with 350mm blades :). No blowouts or anything remotely close, but getting it rock solid on massive pitch pumps is pretty much undo-able (wrong way to tweak the tail anyway). So much instant power at 3000 rpm on 6S. Of course one could decrease the gov gain and make it more mellow so the tail can follow. Best thing about the V-Bar gov imo though, is not having to guess and verify throttle values for a desired headspeed.

Sorry for drifting off-topic, but it was asked :).
