Default Looking for a linkage set

Hi guys,

I'm looking for a linkage set for a standard (flybar) rotor head. Specifically, I broke the little arm that has a bend in both ends to go around the blade grips. Usually all the arms are sold together in a pack for about four bucks. Can't find them for sale anywhere.

Parts are all but impossible to come by for the 200 flybar these days... Your only option might be to buy a complete heli and part it out. Check out the For Sale Section.

I am thinking of taking a crack at making the part myself. It sounds very stupid possibly, but I have made parts that worked well on my other helicopter.

I'm having trouble with the electronics anyway so I've set a limit on how much effort I'm willing to go to with this project. Too bad, it's a nice-looking little copter.

I might have to resort to parting it out myself, so someone else somewhere can keep theirs going a bit longer.

Well if anyone is still reading this, I managed to do two things, one, I fixed the flybar link that was broken- probably not too advisable, but I used the remains of the old plastic upper part and built it up with JB weld and then milled it to shape with a file- it was just the female threaded shank that was cracked, so I think it's strong enough for what I am doing. It fits fine and I ran the helicopter with it attached and so far it works. I am NOT going to fly the helicopter with this part, I am just going to use it as I rig the helicopter and set the lengths of the other links, etc. SO basically a rigging tool.

For a more permanent and safe solution, I have discovered that the linkage in question is the same part as on the EP100 helicopter. As luck would have it, linkage sets for the EP 100 are still in stock at a hobby shop in England, so I've got a set on the way.

Hopefully this helicopter will fly some day.

In the meantime, I have a whopper of an electronic fault that I can't figure out. That will keep me busy until the new linkages arrive
