Default Mods - Round 2

Re-modelled my 120 yet again. Thanks to Liftbag for the Gaui 200 skids idea.
I moved the canopy back by 8mm and up by 3mm and then cut it down and reshaped it a little.
AUW with stock lipo = 106g.

Steve.

The modded canopy is very beautiful. Prefer it to the original

Your bird is also very light. Really good work

Hey guys.

Got my 120 around Christmas and have been lurking since ... :glasses2:

These forums are a treasure trove of information.A few weeks ago I decided to take some of the best bits I have learned here and dive into tricking out my bird.

I was going to post this to the Mod thread but seeing as I haven't done anything that hasn't been done before I'd just leave it here.

Here's what i have done so far:
  1. Custom paint...not sure where I am going with the paint scheme yet...was thinking tiger stripes? I might just leave it as is...who knows.
  2. Trex 250 skids...washers as spacers are temporary until I can find a suitable, lighter alternative.
  3. Extended tail boom with braces.
  4. Microheli CNC swash
  5. Custom tail fin...I removed the decals, made cut-outs and painted to match.I picked up a novus cp replacement fin pack, reshaped the tail and CA'd it to my modified one for strength.Painted the horizontal stabiliser to match the scheme and incorporated it into the boom mount for the braces.
  6. Just tonight I decided to try my hand at modding my flybar with a pivot ball...haven't test flown yet...batteries are charging.
Let me know what you think.Any input would be greatly appreciated

still waiting on a bunch of stuff from rakonheli but here is how my bird sits as of now. Love the t-rex skids better than the stock and MIA skids i tried. loving this thing it has taught me alot on how to fly.

shadow- I've noticed several people running canopies tilted downward in the front like that. Is there any reason for this other than purely aesthetic?

It 's my favorite canopy, but you should know that it is not very suitable in the summer months, because it is very closed at the top and does not allow proper cooling of the main motor.
I applied two heatsinks to the main motor.
