If I remember right:
I have it semi-governed at around 95 flat. Pitch travel at +-115, Throttle travel at +-110, +-13.5* pitch w/ Gaui blades. D/R at 100% with 10% expo Ail/Elv & 100% with -15 expo Tail. BX pot A @ 11 (o'clock), pot B @ 11:30 (o'clock).

I've been flying for just over a year now and am just now realizing how important it is to REALLY EXPERIMENT and try new combos til it just sit right for your personal taste. I almost sold my mild BL Nano, but after also dialing that in today, decided to keep it

Man...this hobby can do a number on your head...time...friends/family....wallet
I hear you, that is what I love apart from alienating my family and friends. The evenings are drawing out so I hope for more flying this weekend.

One of mine had an unscheduled touch down... so I'm busy rebuilding.

tail boom, main shaft, frame (was already cracked)...not too bad parts wise but a complete rebuild of course.

Something let go... I could hear something slip... don't know if it was the pinion or the tail.
Just heard a funny noise, the heli made a few strange movements... then lost control.

WOW you are having a run of bad luck!! Do you think you missed something on your last rebuild? Have you checked all the teeth on the gears?

I am worried about flying mine again after it's last meeting with the ground. I have that suspicion she has an ailment I didn't diagnose and splat another hit. I need to fly it easy at low level for one pack and check all is acting right, but it is too hard to hold back!

I made my own shaft out of 5/32 drill rod, plus drilled and tapped the hub for two 3mm set screws opposite of each other. I cut two flats in the shaft for the set screws to grab... Made several flights yesterday and so far so good...

Also previously tried some 416 SS and it was too soft it would bend too easily under load causing weird vibes. I got some 5/32 Titanium rod on the way to try next

Only down side to this setup... The hub, main gear, and belt drive gear will probably be trashed if you wreck because as of now my belt drive gear is CA'd on. You got to be able to remove the belt drive gear to remove the screws on the main gear. I tried my best to use all the stock parts rather than going exotic machining my own hub and belt drive, however that's really what needs to be done to move the set screws to where the Jesus bolt was...

The set screws need more material on the hub to grab...

Six packs in light rain today, and no wind.I Think it was the first time in no wind condtions.

I did have the motor cut but I think it was the LVC as when I switched from IU it came back to life. And it was fine with a fresh pack.

Hard work with light rain hitting your eyes.

86 fights on it now with no probs.

Sweet! Awesome skills my man. I am too lazy for that, rather just let my LHS do all the hard work

I took mine out for 4 packs today. It wasn't flying right, not enough lift on low throttle and too sensitive at mid stick. Played around with the link lengths and curves and got her balanced up nice!!

Let's see what tomorrow brings.....

Default I think I found out why mine was acting funny yesterday.

The pilot gets off but the engineer gets charged with negligence.

Looks like your tail blades are still good.
But then again I can only see one.
May I ask what we're you thinking.

I know the feeling. We've all been there and if you haven't been there your not flying.lol

Look at the bright side now you can make it better than it was before.

I haven't had the tail apart or changed a belt for long time... I couldn't really see it and didn't think it would wear like that. It was still holding well up until yesterday. Smooth as now.

I even rebuilt it yesterday and didn't notice. Went out to fly and soon did.. this time I could see it was the tail letting go. I even flat spotted the pinion shaft during the build in case it was that.

I'll go check my other 300 now

Looks like there's no more splines left for belt to turn tail shaft.

Just out of curiosity how was the belt.
Did it look as bad as the tail shaft.

I just had to install an Align RCM-BL450M motor because it was all still shiny new just sitting there tempting me...

The 3500kv motor with 14T pinion is a power horse... It slightly bogs but even the Scorpion 6 didn't pitch pump like this thing does

It's giving me 3400RPM, so I just might keep it in there, it fits under the stock canopy and I got 4min of hard flight with 3.78v left in the cells...

********Parental Warning*********.
This is done on a highly modified 300x, I don't recommend this be attempted on a stock 300x....
