I think most of us are waiting. Lmao. I'll have mine tomorrow, I thank Mullen for being located relatively close to me. I'll be building Friday!

Just finished my build. Wiring is a challenge, but once it's done, it's clean as hell. 11.52 lbs AUW. The only thing I omitted for now was the 3rd motor bearing support, the 4035-560 shaft doesn't reach. I'm waiting for the XL shaft.

Rob, whats the weight without the lipo's? I have a couple 5100 voltz 65C packs that are the lightest 65C 5000 packs I have found. they have been working good in my 700E and love the light weight. They run 795G each. 3.5lbs for both. wondering where I will be with these packs. I will be starting my build in the next couple days when I find time..

Nice job Rob, anxious to see it fly! Maybe I can take two videos Sunday.

How are you weighing it? I have a "gram scale" and a "human scale".. but nothing that can measure a whole heli.

Dave, the Gens 5300 are 750g each, so 5250g-1500g=3750g or right around 8.25lbs. The only difference between our setups will be the YGE120HV in mine, which is 120g.

Pete, I have a gram scale that goes up to 10 lbs, so I can weigh without packs, and just add pack weight.

Default comparison photos

here are some photos w/ the whiplash. I like the looks of the x7 better but until i get a motor that fits the x7 I wont know anything about the flight characteristics.

Default it is

It is but it's very high-quality, super stiff very light and I think i see probably 11 layers of carbon fiber through a magnifying glass and There is very little aluminum its all cf bolted to aluminum standoffs and there is very little to it super simple design. The aluminum on the ma is also milled out in the middle to lighten the aluminum parts. Cant wait to fly the gaui to see how they compare in the air.

OK Just finished my build. All in all, a very smooth process. I did have 1 link break while adjusting the swash, but I replaced it with a quick UK and it's all good.

I wanted to compare it to my E7. The X7 is SIGNIFICANTLY shorter but about 2.5 inches longer.

Family Photo! Here are all of my 50+ birds. Now all I need is a nice day to fly

Hmm, not sure I'd be happy about that.

Great comparison photo's, thanks. It has a long boom!
